Things I Love About the Future, Part 1

1. Google is confused about where I am. My email still comes in US time, but everything else seems to know I'm in the Philippines. I mean the search page comes up in Tagalog. Or what I assume is Tagalog. So...yeah.

2. Having my bed made for me six days a week. It's one giant duvet so it's not like it's difficult, but somehow it always looks perfect when I get home. My other favorite part? This:

I certainly don't line my shoes up like this.

3. San Miguel and Coke Light.

4. Everyone has been really friendly, the folks at work especially.

5. Say it with me: two hour massage. Yep, you can be jealous. It was totally worth the trip across the globe.

  1. Hey, they even folded my dirty laundry!

Oh, I reveled in the foot massages at the hotel. With all the walking around, a foot massage once or twice a week was worth it.

  2. Future Marta!! I love hearing how it is going so far. I want to hear more about these tropical storms and the food you've tried! I have no ability to figure out what time it is for you (it is almost 5 in the evening here), but I'm sure your Wednesday is going well.

  3. Oh, sometimes the cleaning person will show up on Sunday. I learned that the hard way ... Always remember to check the lock on the door before jumping into the shower ... Just glad I was done when I heard "knock, knock, knock, (door opens) Housekeeping! No thank you! Please leave!"
